Jeffrey is a distinguished social realist and abstract expressionist in Davao City. One of his famous works is the 3D illustration of the Durian and the Philippine Eagle at the Parking Lot of NCCC Mall Davao City wherein he and his fellow artist used colored chalks as a medium for their artwork.

Garnet Abajero the Bio Research Operations Manager of Ang Tribu Bagobo Woodlands caught a picture of mating Tiger Moths at the resort.

The tiger moth belongs to the Arctiidae Family. The arctiidae possess a diverse family of moths with around 11,000 species found all over the world.

Soon, ATBW will exhibit pictures of different butterflies and insects once the Research Center is already finished.

During the grand opening of Ang Tribu Bagobo Woodlands Mountain Resort the Tagabawa Bagobo Tribe showcased the richness of their culture through their music.

Yes, you heard us right! Director Nene Abajero and Director David Walker decided to import Australian products to give you a taste of the best.

If you have an eye for quality and expensive fabrics, you’ll surely envy the textiles of our curtains, couch and beddings.

We also imported some high-end Aussie technology such as our closed circuit television (CCTV) for your security, robot pool cleaner to make sure that our pool will be 100% pure from impurities, huge screen 3D television sets with surround sound system to keep you entertained while you are in the resort and of course as an added bonus we also bought a Nintendo Wii, it is a family game console that the kids and kids at heart will surely enjoy.

The Aussie experience does not end there! We also have more than 10 species of Australian flowers in our green house to delight you. Take note, these are not just ordinary flowers, some of these cost a hundred bucks and more! Savor the beauty of these foreign flowers because you can only find them here in ATBW.

The Directors were eager in having these innovations for the resort. They sent three 40 foot container vans filled with furniture ranging from tables, beds, chairs etc.

It was not an easy job for Director Nene and Director David Walker to have them shipped. Mr. David himself carried all of the contents of the three forty-foot container vans.

Cinnamon is a small tree that grows in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Brazil, Vietnam, and Egypt. It’s one of the oldest known spices.

It is used in traditional Chinese medicine as a cure for colds, flatulence, nausea, diarrhea, and painful menstrual periods. It’s also believed to improve energy, vitality, and circulation and be particularly useful for people who tend to feel hot in their upper body but have cold feet. In Ayurveda, cinnamon is used as a remedy for diabetes, indigestion, and colds.

When the ATBW founders knew this miracle spice they wanted to plant cinnamon trees all over the resort. Remedios Abajero contacted Dr. Rodolfo Kintanar who knows a lot about this spice.

Remedios Abajero requested him to survey the area if it is possible for the plant to grow at ATBW. Dr. Kintanar immediately flew from Manila towards Davao del Sur just to survey the area.

And now there are hundreds of cinammon tree planted in ATBW and in two years time the cinnamon barks will be ready for harvest.

This is the sole cinnamon plantation at Davao del Sur and even in Mindanao.
